Workbench use safety guidelines

H220, H221 Workbench

Locate workbench in a protected space to minimize traffic and other distractions.
Staff should check that workbench and tools are in good condition before use.
Children at workbench must be supervised at all times.
Wear safety glasses when tools are used.
Tools are not toys. Ensure they are used properly.
No more than two children should use tools simultaneously.
When sawing, always clamp work in the vice.
Discard any wood with protruding nails.
Keep workbench free of clutter. Put tools away properly.
Place cover over Tool Cabinet when tools are 'out of bounds'.
