Receiving planning permission to set up a nursery in a listed old church building was just the beginning. There were challenges in creating a child-friendly setting in such a high-ceilinged space. When considering the architectural unity of the final design, Sarah felt that natural wood equipment was necessary to complement the rich tones of the interior brickwork.
“Community Playthings worked with us to establish a layout within our budget. Together we divided the vast space into intimate areas appropriately scaled for our children. More than six years on every piece of Community Playthings equipment is going strong. On the rare occasion when something needed maintenance, Community responded swiftly, sending a bolt or part that went missing free of charge. I have not experienced this level of service anywhere else.”
