Care for environment
We care about the world we’re leaving our children. That’s why we love using wood. It’s sustainable – we make sure more trees are planted than are cut down. It’s natural – each item has its unique grain, small knots, and variations in colour. And our products are built to last, which ultimately means less waste.

Our solid birch panels come from wood harvested in the Baltic States. At present there is more new growth in the birch stand than is harvested each year.

Community Playthings products contain no harmful or hazardous chemicals. Our clear water-based wood finish meets all applicable regulations and is far more environmentally sound than commonly used solvent- based finishes.

We comply with all UK recycling regulations. Water is not a major part of our manufacturing process.

To reduce waste and emissions associated with transportation of goods, we combine deliveries wherever possible.
