Come right in! Use the variety and connectivity of the panels and shelves to make beautiful and adaptable classroom arrangements. Choose one configuration this week, vary it the next week. Create activity centers for your children with clearly-defined spaces anywhere in your room.
Roomscapes shelves can stand alone or can be connected to other shelves or panels in a great variety of configurations. Learn more about the connection system, the panels and shelves, setup guidelines and planning.
Connectors
The solid plastic posts and couplings are the key to Roomscapes. They "lock" shelves and panels together and they "open" many possible combinations. No tools needed. Just slide the couplings into the posts.
1. Roomscapes Posts connect shelves to shelves, shelves to panels, and panels to panels.
2. Eight-sided posts enable teachers to connect Roomscapes shelves, panels and doorways, at 45° and 90° angles, or straight in line.
3. The posts allow you to configure five different heights in any combination you need for your center.
4. The couplings lock firmly into the posts.
5. Smooth, rounded edges provide safety, together with the warm look and feel of solid maple.

Panels and Shelves
Each Roomscape shelf is 14" deep (except the Euro-tote Shelf unit which is 18" deep) and can stand alone or connect to other Roomscapes Shelves or Panels. Create the attractive spaces you want with the rich variety of shapes and sizes. Roomscapes units are interchangeable because they are modular in length and height.
1. Roomscapes shelving combines mobility with stability. Pull up the toe trim, move the shelf unit where you want it, then push the toe trim down to disengage the casters for safety and stability.
2. Select from modular lengths of 2', 3', 4' and 5', and from heights of 16", 24", 32", 40",and 48" to "Roomscape" your room.
3. Choose Dowel Panels, Clear Panels, Solid Panels, and Bulletin Panels for a variety of shapes and surfaces.
4. The fabric "bulletin board" back on the shelves gives you more display area at children's eye level. It is also a warm-textured back for a cozy corner.
5. Clear plastic covers, mirrors, and chalkboard fasten with hook and loop to the fabric bulletin backs of Shelves, and to Bulletin Panels.

Roomscapes Guidelines
Because you can do so much with Roomscapes, it is also possible for you to create unsafe combinations. We offer these guidelines to keep your room safe for children. Exercise good judgment as you arrange Roomscapes in your room.
Shelves can stand alone or be connected at 45° or 90°, as well as in straight lines. Before connecting shelves, always stabilize them by flipping the toe trim down.
Use a Filler to close the space between the two Posts when connecting shelves in a straight line.
Panels must always be connected at both ends. Never connect more than 2 panels in a straight line. Use 45° and 90° angles to break up straight lines, or introduce a shelf unit or Wings for stability. Panels can be placed on top of other Shelves or Panels if the combined height is 48" or less. Attach 48" high panels to shelves or panels at least 24" high.
Post height must equal the height of the tallest shelf unit, panel, or stacked combination being connected.
The Wall Adapter must be mounted firmly to the wall or other stable object. The bottom of the Wall Adapter must be on the floor.
The Teacher Door and Roomscapes Gate must be connected to panels or shelves at least 24" high using 32" high posts or higher. Shelves less than 3' long must be at a 45° or 90° angle to the door or gate. Never connect panels in a straight line with the door or gate - always at 45° or 90° angles.
Use the Canopy only on 24" or 32" high shelves.
Roomscapes Wings must be connected perpendicular to the panel, directly opposite each other.
